“Fresh Start” Galentine’s Day Brunch

We are excited to announce our first-ever “Fresh Start” Galentine’s Day Brunch event on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Sixteen03 Main Events.
Galentine’s Day is a day for women to celebrate their gal pals and female friendships. This is a day for you and a friend, sister, mom or co-worker to get out and enjoy.  While the guys are at the sports show or prepping for the Super Bowl you can come and enjoy some live music, good food, a mimosa or Bloody Mary and at the same time support a survivor and their children to get a “Fresh Start.”
We will be hosting 250 women for a fun and relaxing Sunday Brunch. There will be door prizes, games and a pick-a-prize raffle.
When a survivor and their children flee their home, they usually leave with only a few belongings to escape their abuser.  Most of the time they leave with the clothes they are wearing, their purse, and a few things for their kids if they are lucky. When a survivor and their children find permanent housing and make the transition from our shelters to a new home, there is a need for basic household necessities to help them get started.
We will be collecting new household items to create “Fresh Start” Baskets at our Galentine’s event. You will be able to purchase items on-site and donate such things as pots & pans, dishes, towels, pillows, measuring cups/spoons, toaster, paper towels, oven mitts, garbage bags, etc., to help get them on their way to a life free of violence. The household items range in cost from $5 to $40.  We are asking our guests to donate a new item/s from our table of needs to help fill our “Fresh Start” baskets. In turn, they will receive the corresponding value in FREE raffle tickets to our pick-a-prize raffle.
Tickets go on sale on January 6, 2022. Tickets are non-refundable.
