Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Safe Home for Kids Raffle?

The Safe Home for Kids Raffle is a community fundraising initiative. The raffle is an opportunity for the public to help raise funds for children and their families who are victims of domestic violence by buying a ticket for a chance to win incredible prizes. Net proceeds raised are used for children in a seven-county area in North Dakota. We provide these children and families with housing, food and clothing. We help with school, supplies, aftercare and recreation. Our mission is to provide a safe and stable living environment where kids can be kids. The Safe Home for Kids Raffle ticket purchase is not a charitable donation, but rather an opportunity to support The Abused Adult Resource Center through participation in a gaming event where ticket buyers have a chance to win prizes.

How does the Abused Adult Resource Center use raffle ticket proceeds?

Every dollar raised from the community is used to further the AARC’s mission to provide a safe home for children who are victims of domestic violence and would otherwise be homeless. The net proceeds of the raffle, after prizes are awarded and expenses are paid, support The Safe Home for Kid’s Fund. The Safe Home for Kids Fund is comprised of contributions that are used for children who are victims of domestic violence and their greatest needs, allowing the AARC to improve the care offered to every child who comes through its doors. The AARC strives to provide each child — as well as each child’s family — with the best possible support, advocacy and outcome.

How do I purchase the Safe Home for Kids Raffle tickets?
